In 1986 the REALTORS® Community Foundation was created by Edmonton Area REALTORS® as a way to bring together fellow agents in giving back with the hopes of making a bigger impact together. Over thirty years later, we continue this legacy and aim to increase our impact each year.
I am proud to continue to support this cause and give back to the community. With all the different funding options, the foundation can greatly impact every area of our city and its surrounding areas. The Foundation intentionally funds local charities that work in these communities - making a measurable difference in our neighbourhoods. Though the business side of real estate is very individually driven, the Foundation creates opportunities for agents to work together towards a common goal.
In The Community
The $100,000 granted by the REALTORS® Community Foundation over multiple years was used to build one of the twenty tiny homes in Veterans' Village, which will house veterans during their transition back to civilian life.
Homes for Heroes Foundation
Over the years, RCF has proudly granted over half a million dollars to support Habitat in helping families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership. This has covered the cost of building SEVEN Habitat homes
Habitat for Humanity
With over $114,000 of Funding from the REALTORS® Community Foundation, Terra’s Housing Support Services can help pregnant and parenting teens find and maintain safe, secure, and affordable homes.
Terra Centre
The funds from the Foundation help YESS provide immediate 24/7 shelter, a drop-in resource center, temporary supportive housing, temporary independent cohort housing, and individualized wrap-around supports for young people aged 15–24.
Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS)
The Realtors Community Foundation in Edmonton is dedicated to giving back to the community through various charitable initiatives.
As a proud supporter, Melissa Saretsky of Century 21 Masters actively participates in fundraising events, volunteer programs, and community improvement projects. The foundation focuses on addressing key local issues, including housing, education, and health, positively impacting the lives of Heartland residents. By collaborating with local organizations and leveraging the resources of the real estate community, the Realtors Community Foundation strives to create a stronger, more vibrant Edmonton region.
