Chamber Welcomes New President
The Fort Saskatchewan & District Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the appointment of its new President, Melissa Saretsky. This appointment marks a significant milestone in the Chamber’s commitment to fostering economic growth and prosperity within our vibrant community. Melissa was elected and sworn in by Fort Saskatchewan Mayor Gale Katchur at the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting on October 4th at the Dow Centennial Centre. “Congratulations to incoming Fort Saskatchewan & District Chamber of Commerce president Melissa Saretsky. With our city’s continued growth, we trust this will be a year of success for our local businesses,” the Mayor stated.
Melissa brings a wealth of experience and a passion for the Fort Saskatchewan region and business community. As a local real estate agent, Melissa has a proven track record of fostering collaborative relationships and she is well-prepared to lead the Chamber into a new era of innovation and success.

Melissa will work alongside the dedicated Chamber of Commerce team, Board of Directors, and membership to continue providing valuable resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy for the business community.
Dignitaries from local municipalities in the Chamber region had the opportunity to attend this year’s AGM and bring an update from their locality. Karl Hauch, Mayor of Bruderheim, was grateful for this opportunity. “Thank you very much to the Chamber for the kind invitation to provide a Town of Bruderheim Municipal update at the AGM.” Hauch said. “It was great to see many other municipalities from the region providing municipal updates! I am looking forward to seeing the continued collaboration and growth of this powerhouse Chamber of Commerce in our region!”
Following the meeting, the Town of Lamont’s Mayor, Kirk Perrin stated, “In our community, collaboration is the cornerstone of progress, and the Fort Saskatchewan & District Chamber of Commerce exemplifies this spirit beautifully. The AGM was a testament to the dedication and commitment of this organization and its new president, Melissa Saretsky. I and confident that under Melissa’s leadership, the Chamber will continue to be a driving force in promoting economic growth and fostering strong connections within our region.”
The Fort Saskatchewan & District Chamber of Commerce is grateful for the contributions of outgoing President DeAnna Voshell, who has played a pivotal role in advancing the Chamber’s mission during her tenure. DeAnna’s dedication and leadership have left an indelible mark on our organization. DeAnna was presented with a gift from her fellow board members in appreciation for her hard work over the past year as President.
